VILLAGE OF SANDS POINT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

The Mayor and Village Board are closely monitoring with Village staff the ongoing developments related to the coronavirus public health crisis.  To make sure that all of our residents and employees remain safe and healthy, and to minimize, to the extent we can, the exposure to and spread of the virus, we are taking the following actions consistent with the most current advice and guidance from the Federal, State, County, and health care authorities:  

      Village Office shall be closed to the public effective immediately, but Village Staff will be in place; you may still access the various departments by phone or email. Your calls will be returned, and emails responded to – Any inquiries please call the Village Office at (516) 883-3044

GENERATORS:  Backup generators should only be operated outdoors and away from windows to prevent the accumulation of deadly carbon monoxide in your home.  Before operating generators, be sure to disconnect from PSE&G'S system by shutting off the main breaker located in the electric service panel. Failure to do this could jeopardize the safety of crews working to restore power.
